Terms of Service
These terms govern your use of ShredMeta. By creating an account or using the service, you agree to them.
The service
ShredMeta examines and removes metadata from files you upload, then returns a cleaned copy. The service is provided on an “as is” basis. Because we delete your files automatically, you are responsible for keeping your own copies — download what you need before it's wiped.
Acceptable use
- Don't upload content you have no right to, or that is illegal.
- Don't attempt to disrupt, overload, reverse-engineer, or abuse the service.
- You are responsible for the files you process and for activity on your account.
Accounts
Keep your login details secure. You're responsible for activity under your account. You can delete your account at any time.
Plans & billing
- Free and paid plans have monthly file limits; overage packs are available.
- Paid plans are billed in GBP via Stripe and renew automatically each period.
- You can cancel any time from the billing portal; access continues to the end of the paid period.
- Business and Pro plans are intended for higher-volume metadata cleaning workloads and include priority support.
- Except where required by law, payments are non-refundable for partial periods.
Availability & liability
We aim for reliable service but don't guarantee it will be uninterrupted or error-free. To the extent permitted by law, ShredMeta is not liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for files you failed to download before they were deleted.
Termination
We may suspend or close accounts that breach these terms or abuse the service. You may stop using the service and delete your account at any time.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of England & Wales.
